Nigeria News: Jungle Justice Passed On A Man, As He Was Burnt Alive For A Robbery Case.

With the country's recession, many have thought of different ways to survive. They have been involved with one crime or the other. Although it is no news to those who are conversant with the country's high rate of unemployment, that this has caused many youths to do some dirty jobs which have left many in police net. This dead man's case is no exception. It is quite unfortunate his case was handled by some angry youths and not by the police.

No matter the deceased crime, Nigeria forbids Jungle Justice. Everyone has the right to an attorney I believe. It is obvious nobody cares about what the law says when an armed robber is caught.

According to the report reaching us from an eye witness, the suspected armed robber is from Akwa Ibom state, and he was an okada man (commercial motorcyclist). It was told that the man has been stealing bike for long and was never caught until yesterday, Thursday when he stole a bike from a fellow commercial bike rider, he was caught with a gun and the stolen bike. The Ikom youth decided to burn him before the arrival of the police officers. This happened along mile 2 road, Ikom local government area of Cross River state.

  1. Burn him alive? I think its too much even he is the robber. Just cut off his right hand and his left leg or vice versa.

  2. Hahaha... @Mat, that still looks too much to me bro. I think he should have been handed over to the police. If you cut off his right hand and his left hand, he will become handicap. And then he will become a burden to both his family and the country. Nigerian is already having too many people of that nature begging in the street for money and food. Even people with complete hands and legs find it hard to survive in Nigeria.

  3. If you ask me, those youths should have been arrested. No one has the right to take a life you cannot create.
